All-female match officials panel confirmed for Women’s T20 World Cup 2026

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed the Emirates ICC International Panel of Match Officials for the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, which is set to take place in England and Wales from June 12. The tournament for the third consecutive edition will feature a completely female officiating team. A total of 14 umpires and four match referees will oversee the 33 matches scheduled during the competition. Candace La Borde, Gayathri Venugopalan, Kerrin Klaaste, and Shathira Jakir Jesy, all of whom are set to make their Women’s T20 World Cup debut. Notably, nine officials who participated in the 2024 edition have retained their spots for the 2026. Australia’s Claire Polosak enters the tournament as the most seasoned umpire in the group. The 2026 edition will mark her sixth appearance at a Women’s T20 World Cup, having already officiated in 22 matches across earlier tournaments.
“This panel of match officials for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 reflects the ICC’s commitment to expanding the scope of representation to all facets of the sport,” ICC CEO Sanjog Gupta said in a press release.
“The ICC takes into consideration a comprehensive, holistic, and evidence-based account while assessing its sports officials and their decision-making performance,” he added.
