Deepti Sharma creates history, becomes highest wicket-taker in women's international cricket

Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma became the highest wicket-taker in the history of Indian women's international cricket. She broke the record of legendary fast bowler Jhulan Goswami during India's final Group A clash against Australia in the Women's T20 World Cup 2026 on Sunday at Lord's. The landmark achievement came when Deepti dismissed Australian opener Beth Mooney, claiming her 356th international wicket and going past Jhulan's record of 355 wickets.
