Indian all-rounder Axar Patel achieved a massive record on Saturday by becoming the first spinner from India to claim 100 wickets in T20Is. He got to the milestone during the second T20I against England in Manchester on Saturday, where Axar dismissed England captain Harry Brook to achieve the historic record. With this, Axar completed 100 wickets in 98 T20I appearances, becoming only the fourth Indian bowler to achieve the milestone in the format.

Among India's leading T20I wicket-takers, Axar now sits fourth behind Arshdeep Singh, with (134) wickets, Jasprit Bumrah (121) and Hardik Pandya having 114 wickets. Talking about the match, India lost the game by 4 wickets, with England chasing a target of 191 in 19 overs following Jacob Bethell's superb knock of 76 unbeaten.

Nonetheless, there was also another positive development for India after they introduced 15-year-old batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi to international cricket. At 15 years and 99 days, Sooryavanshi became the youngest Indian to represent the country in international cricket. However, his debut innings ended after 10 balls, with Sooryavanshi scoring 14 runs.
