Pratika Rawal ruled out of Lord's Test, Priya Punia comes in as replacement

Indian batter Pratika Rawal has been ruled out of the one-off Test against England due to injury. The match is scheduled to begin on Friday at Lord's, with the right-handed batter set to miss the historic clash. She picked up the injury while fielding in the second unofficial one-day match against England A in Taunton last week.
Although she remained with the team after the incident, the injury proved serious enough to prevent her from taking the field again. She was also unable to bat during India A's chase of a 300-run target. India have named Priya Punia as her replacement for Rawal. Punia has joined the squad and is available for selection.
"Pratika Rawal has been ruled out of the Test match due to an injury she picked up during the A series. She got a cut on her knee which required some stitches. She's out for the Test and Priya Punia has been added to the squad," head coach Amol Muzumdar said at the press conference.
Time and again, injuries have played a major role in ruining Pratika's presence at crucial matches. Last year, she missed the semi-final and the final of the ODI World Cup due to an injury. She also missed WPL 2026.
