England fast bowler Jofra Archer has completely dominated Indian batting prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, presenting a massive challenge to the rising star in the ongoing T20I series between England and India. The thrilling battle between the two Rajasthan Royals teammates has been a show to watch, with Archer managing to outsmart the young batter time and again. Across three meetings in the series, Archer has dismissed Sooryavanshi twice with a well-planned strategy to unsettle the 15-year-old.

The England pacer has constantly rattled Sooryavanshi with extra bounce and pace, forcing him to make mistakes. Following Archer's success, former England all-rounder Moeen Ali, sharing his views on the battle, said that Archer's intelligent use of the short ball has brought success.

"I loved the way Archer was bowling at Sooryavanshi. During the IPL, I saw Rajasthan Royals' social media saying that Archer was smashed a few times in the nets (by Sooryavanshi). It was a great bouncer by Jofra to get rid of Vaibhav. He is a fantastic batter indeed and I am not trying to undermine his abilities. But things are different in international cricket," Moeen said on 'Beard before Wicket' podcast.

Across the past three games, Sooryavanshi has registered scores of 14, 13 and 15. The young gun was brought into the side in the second match of the series, making his international debut. Vaibhav became India's youngest international cricketer at the age of 15 years and 99 days, surpassing legendary Sachin Tendulkar. Notably, Sooryavanshi had a successful IPL 2026 season, scoring 776 runs at an impressive strike rate of 237.30, including one century and five half-centuries.
