India name squad for Sri Lanka Tests, Ravindra Jadeja returns

India have unveiled their squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against Sri Lanka, with veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja making his comeback to the side. Jadeja, who was recently rested for the Afghanistan Test, last featured for India in an ODI against New Zealand earlier this year in January.

Meanwhile, Washington Sundar was unavailable for selection, with the selectors bringing in Saransh Jain, who has earned his maiden call-up. Shubman Gill will lead the squad that includes familiar names in vice-captain KL Rahul, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant, Dhruv Jurel, Mohd. Siraj, and Prasidh Krishna. Jasprit Bumrah and Sai Sudarshan have been named in the squad, but their availability is subject to fitness. The series, which is a part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025-27, will begin on August 15 in Galle.
