Jasprit Bumrah ruled out of Sri Lanka Tests: Report

Indian have suffered a major setback, with fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah being ruled out of the upcoming Test series against Sri Lanka due to injury, according to Times of India. The two-match series is set to begin on August 15, but Bumrah will not be part of the squad after medical experts advised against an early return. I

t comes shortly after reports suggested that the BCCI Centre of Excellence had cleared Bumrah to travel with the Indian team for the away assignment. Notably, Bumrah was included in India's 15-member squad, but his availability remained subject to fitness.

As per TOI, Bumrah is still experiencing discomfort in his left knee following medical assessments, making it difficult for him to feature in the series. India are already without Harshit Rana and Nitish Kumar Reddy, who have already been ruled out of the series. However, India have the availability of Prasidh Krishna, Mohammed Siraj and Gurnoor Brar in the form of pacers.
