CPL 2026, 4th match: Jamaica Kingsmen to face Barbados Tridents in high-voltage clash
Barbados Royals are gearing up to kick off their campaign at Caribbean Premier League 2026 by facing Jamaica Kingsmen in the fourth match of the tournament on Wednesday at Sabina Park. The new season has brought new opportunities for Barbados Royals, who are looking to leave the disappointing campaign at the CPL 2025 behind and find a new rhythm.
During the last season, Barbados Royals endured a frustrating run of defeats, managing to win only two games and finishing at the bottom of the points table. Notably, the side has returned to being Barbados Tridents - the name under which they played in the opening eight seasons of the CPL tournament. They renamed the franchise in 2021 but now once again they have gone back to their previous identity.
Meanwhile, Jamaica Kingsmen began their campaign on a dull note, crashing to a narrow two-wicket defeat in their opening game, which also happened to be the tournament opener. Nonetheless, the side would look to stage a strong comeback to make their presence felt in the tournament.
