Tim Seifert's heroics help Manchester Super Giants' claim maiden Hundred title

Tim Seifert demonstrated a sensational display of batting pyrotechnics at Lord’s, smashing 72 from 38 deliveries to guide Manchester Super Giants to their first-ever Hundred championship. It was a nail-biting final against Trent Rockets, but Super Giants managed to complete a five-wicket victory with three balls to spare.
Chasing a demanding target of 159, Manchester got a blistering start, with Seifert going berserk with his skilful power-hitting. He attacked Rocket’s bowlers from the outset. His explosive innings also included the fastest half-century ever recorded in a men’s Hundred final.
There were also brilliant contributions from Paul Walter, who scored 22 from 14 balls. Captain Jos Buttler gave momentum with 23 from 14 deliveries. Leus Du Plooy also slammed a decisive knock of 27* to take Manchester across the line. Earlier, asked to bat, Trent Rockets could only muster 158/8 in 100 balls, with Aneurin Donald top-scoring with 38. Lewis Gregory and Ben Duckett were the other players to provide substantial help with the scores of 32 and 31 runs.
