Lyca Kovai Kings crowned TNPL 2026 champions

Lyca Kovai Kings ended their TNPL 2026 campaign brilliantly, racing to an 84-run victory over Siechem Madurai Panthers in the final at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Friday to secure their third TNPL title. After deciding to bat, Kovai Kings set out to build a challenging total, finishing at 182/7 in 20 overs, with young batter Andre Siddarth unleashing a brutal assault. His outstanding 82-run knock helped the side post a formidable total and give Kovai Kings an upper hand.
Chasing the target, Madurai Panthers were folded for 98 in 14.2 overs, with their openers Ram Kumar R and Bharath Shankar giving a major shock after departing for ducks. A little fightback from NS Chaturved, who scored 40 runs, wasn’t enough to save the side from a crushing loss.
Meanwhile, for Kovai Kings, M Siddharth and Shahrukh Khan took three wickets each, while K Deeban Lingesh and Jhathavedh Subramanyan returned with two and one wicket, respectively, to play their notable parts.
