Zimbabwe women confirm squad for historic T20I series against South Africa

Zimbabwe have unveiled a 17-player squad for their upcoming five-match T20I series against South Africa, set to begin on 11 September. Josephine Nkomo will be leading the side, making her comeback to the team after missing Zimbabwe’s white-ball tour of Pakistan in May due to injury. This will be Nkomo's first series as captain since being formally handed the leadership role.

Batter Sharne Mayers also returns to the side for the first time in two years. She last featured in an international match back in October 2024. This will be South Africa’s maiden visit to Zimbabwe, making it a historic tour. Meanwhile, the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th T20Is will be held on September 13, 15, 17 and 19, respectively. All five matches will be played at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo
