In the second semifinal of the Women’s Asia Cup 2026, unbeaten Sri Lanka will take on Pakistan at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday. Sri Lanka are riding high on confidence, having enjoyed an impeccable campaign during the group stage. Chamari Athapaththu’s Sri Lanka have been the standout side of Group B.

They won all three of their matches, maintaining a great consistency. Now, Sri Lanka have won eight consecutive matches and have suffered only one defeat in their last ten T20 Asia Cup outings. That successful run also includes their title-winning performance in the 2024 final against India. In the ongoing campaign, their biggest strength has been their bowling attack, particularly on Dubai’s slower pitches. The conditions have rewarded their disciplined bowling, and Sri Lanka have been flawless in exploiting them.

Pakistan, on the other hand, have endured a rocky path. They finished second in Group A after fighting hard during the group stage. Their campaign took a major blow when India completely decimated them. Pakistan's biggest challenge has been with the bat, with their batters struggling repeatedly to produce big knocks. It is a do-or-die game for them, and they will need to bounce back.
