Sri Lanka name squad for T20Is against Pakistan, Kusal Mendis to lead

Sri Lanka have announced a 15-member squad for their upcoming three-match T20I series against Pakistan, with wicketkeeper-batter Kusal Mendis set to lead the side. Mendis, who had a brilliant ODI series against England, racked up 198 runs across three appearances, including a superb 121 in the second ODI.
However, Pathum Nissanka and Wanindu Hasaranga have been left out after suffering injuries. Still, Sri Lanka squad features reliable performers in Mishara, Sineth Jayawardena, Udara, Sahan Arachchige, and Kamindu Mendis. Dasun Shanaka also brings a great deal of experience to the side.
In the bowling attack, Sri Lanka’s spin department has the likes of Dunith Wellalage, Maheesh Theekshana and Vijayakanth Viyaskanth. And their pace attack features Dushmantha Chameera, Asitha Fernando, Nuwan Thushara and Malinga. All three matches will be played in Rawalpindi on October 9, 11 and 13, respectively.
