Lhuan-dre Pretorius shatters Chris Gayle's T20 record

South Africa’s young talent Lhuan-dre Pretorius has created an astonishing record in cricket history for the highest individual score in men's T20 cricket. With his magnificent power-hitting, he smashed an unbeaten 188 from only 79 balls for the Titans against the Knights in the CSA T20 Challenge. The landmark previously belonged to Chris Gayle, who had blasted 175 unbeaten runs for Royal Challengers Bengaluru against Pune Warriors in the 2013 Indian Premier League.
Pretorius was in attacking mode from the start, romping to his half-century in 24 deliveries. Moreover, his assault became even more intense after reaching fifty. Because he only took further 16 balls to bring up his century, giving him his third T20 hundred.
During his eye-catching knock, he launched 13 sixes and 15 fours, guiding his side to a monumental total of 267-3. Meanwhile, Titans bowled out Knights for 143 to clinch a 124-run victory. Notably, Pretorius has featured in 17 T20Is, three ODIs and two Tests for South Africa.
