IND vs WI, 3rd T20I: India and West Indies head to Indore for big clash

India and West Indies will face each other in the third T20I in Indore on Sunday, with the five-match series currently levelled at 1-1. India took an early lead in the series, dominating the opening encounter in Lucknow with an eight-wicket win. Meanwhile, West Indies bounced back strongly in the second match, clinching a six-wicket win. They chased down a target of 250 in Ranchi, which was the second-highest successful chase in menโs T20I cricket.
As for India, they have firepower and attacking options, and their recent performances have shown that depth in their batting unit. Shreyas Iyer has been very impressive, overcoming a difficult beginning to his captaincy with a maiden T20I century in the first match. He also slammed a quickfire knock in the second game. Sanju Samson has also made a good comeback amid the scrutiny surrounding his performances. The side also boasts the likes of Tilak Varma, Shivam Dube and Axar Patel, who are capable of performing well with the bat.
West India, on the other hand, would look to continue with the same performance. But their batting performances have also exposed a disappointing dependence on Shai Hope and Sherfane Rutherford, as they both have been the only players leading the batting charge. The duo took the side to victory in the second game, scoring 102* and 84, respectively. Going into the third match, West Indies would hope that Rovman Powell and Shimron Hetmyer also show their batting prowess.
