IND-W vs ZIM-W, 2nd T20I: India eye improved show against hopeful Zimbabwe

India Women are gearing up to face Zimbabwe in the second T20I in Raipur on Sunday with the thought of sealing the series win after being nearly cornered in the first game. India are carrying a 1-0 lead, but the opening match gave them a reality check. For Mandhana, who has taken charge as India's full-time captain after Harmanpreet Kaur stepped down, faced a more challenging outing.
On the other hand, Zimbabwe, making their first-ever international appearance against India, pushed India into a difficult position, and the hosts had to work hard to secure the victory. The massive challenge for India heading into the second T20I will be the performance of their top order.
Both Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur were unable to provide the kind of contributions they are known for, scoring only 9 and 1 runs, respectively. Zimbabwe Women, meanwhile, will look to take confidence from their performance in the first game and hope to topple India. Kelis Ndhlovu and Sharne Mayers were among the standout performers in the first game, and they both would eye a greater outing in the second game.
