IND W vs ZIM W 3rd ODI: India eye 3-0 whitewash as Zimbabwe face final Test

India Women will take on Zimbabwe Women in the third and final ODI at the BCA Stadium in Kotambi, Vadodara, on October 28. Having already secured an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series, India will aim to complete a clean sweep and continue their dominant run against Zimbabwe. India Women registered a convincing 121-run victory in the second ODI on October 25. Batting first, the hosts posted an impressive total of 328/6 after recovering from an early collapse.
Captain Harmanpreet Kaur and Deepti Sharma played outstanding knocks, scoring centuries to put India in a commanding position. Harmanpreet scored 126 off 121 balls, while Deepti remained unbeaten on 106 off 86 deliveries. Their contributions helped India recover from 19/2 and build a formidable total. In reply, Zimbabwe Women were bowled out for 207 in 48.5 overs. Vaishnavi Sharma starred with the ball, picking up four wickets, while Deepti Sharma claimed three wickets to complete an excellent all-round performance. With the series already decided, India will look to maintain their winning momentum in the final match. Zimbabwe, meanwhile, will aim to put up a stronger fight and finish the series on a positive note.
Pitch Report
The BCA Stadium in Kotambi, Vadodara, is expected to provide favourable conditions for batters, with an even surface, good bounce and carry, and a fast outfield. Batters who settle in during the initial overs could find it easier to play their shots and build substantial innings. Fast bowlers may receive some assistance from the pitch with the new ball, making the opening overs important for both teams. Dew could also become a factor later in the day, potentially making it difficult for bowlers to grip the ball. The toss could therefore play an important role, with captains considering the possibility of dew and the advantage of batting first or chasing under the prevailing conditions.
