IND vs SL: Opening ODI shifted from Delhi to Visakhapatnam

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed that the opening ODI of the upcoming three-match series between India and Sri Lanka, originally scheduled to take place in Delhi on December 13, has now been shifted to Visakhapatnam.
The decision was taken following a request from the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA), which flagged concerns over possible weather-related interruptions and the renovation work planned at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam will now serve as the venue for the series opener.
The match was quite crucial, as it would have seen the return of ODI cricket to the venue for the first time since the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka's tour of India will feature six white-ball matches - three ODIs and as many T20Is.
