Devon Conway ruled out of New Zealand’s ODI aeries against India

New Zealand have been handed a terrific blow ahead of the remaining matches of their ongoing home ODI series against India, with veteran batter Devon Conway ruled out for the rest of the assignment due to concussion.
He sustained the injury following an accidental collision with teammate Matt Henry during a training session last week. That incident forced Conway to miss the opening ODI in Auckland, where India secured a convincing five-wicket victory to take an early lead in the series. Meanwhile, pacer Matt Henry, who was involved in the collision with Conway, has cleared concussion assessments and is available for selection ahead of the second ODI, which will be held in Wellington on Saturday.
Amid this, New Zealand have called up left-handed batter Nick Kelly as Conway’s replacement. Kelly is expected to join the squad in Wellington on Friday and will be available ahead of the second encounter.
