Annabel Sutherland scripts new records with her double ton

Australian all-rounder Annabel Sutherland has ascended to new heights with a rare feat that she accomplished during Australia's ongoing One-Off Test match against South Africa at the WACA Ground. Annabel scored her double hundred to become the fastest batter to reach 200 in the history of Women’s Tests. 

Annabel got to her spectacular double ton off 248 balls, being the only fastest batter to create this record. With the double ton, Annabel Sutherland also became the fifth Australian woman to score a Test double hundred after Joanne Broadbent, Michelle Goszko, Karen Rolton and Ellyse Perry. Overall, she is the ninth woman batter to score a double ton in Tests. 

Meanwhile, she also became the youngest Australian batter to score a double hundred. However, Sutherland’s innings came to an end after she lost her wicket on 210 off 256 deliveries. Earlier, Sutherland began her day on 54 as she went on to pound South Africa’s drowsy bowling attack to bring up her remarkable knock. Ellyse Perry holds the record for the highest Test score by an Australian with her 213 unbeaten
