The action-packed Women's Premier League (WPL) 2024 has reached its pinnacle, with two teams making it to the final of the tournament. An epic showdown is on the horizon as Royal Challengers Bangalore Women and Delhi Capitals Women take on each other in the final on Sunday (17 March) at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. On the back of their exquisite performances, both team have made their way into the final as they vie for the coveted title. 

Delhi Capitals Women have had an impressive journey to the final, overcoming their opponents and finishing at the top in the points table to make their direct qualification into the final. Due to their position at the top, Delhi Capitals gained the advantage of having direct qualification. 

Under the astute leadership of Meg Lanning, they have displayed resilience and composure in challenging situations. With a formidable batting lineup comprising stars like Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues and Alice Capsey, they have consistently posted imposing totals on the scoreboard. 

Their bowling unit, led by the likes of Shikha Pandey, Minnu Mani and Radha Yadav, has been adept at stifling opposition batsmen and picking up crucial wickets.

Royal Challengers Bangalore Women, led by their inspirational captain Smriti Mandhana, have been a raging force throughout the tournament despite encountering setbacks at times. 

Boasting a lineup of seasoned players, they have showcased their dominance with exceptional performances in both batting and bowling departments. Players like Smriti Mandhana, Ellyse Perry and Sophie Devine have consistently delivered match-winning performances. 

The final showdown between these two teams promises to be a thrilling one as they vie to clinch their maiden WPL title. Heading into the game, both teams will look to follow a balanced plan to keep building pressure on each other.
