Bottom-placed Kandy Falcons look to overcome tough period as they face Jaffna Kings

Kandy Falcons sit last on the LPL points table with one win in their last four games. They also suffered defeat in their last match against Galle Marvels in the 9th match of the tournament. Falcons are now gearing up for their next game, which is against Jaffna Kings on Tuesday at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium, Dambulla, and they will have to seal their victory in that game to get their campaign back on track. Kandy Falcons have lost three games on the bounce since starting their campaign with a win in the opener of the Lanka Premier League. 

Meanwhile, Jaffna Kings enter the game with a totally different trajectory as they top the points table with three victories out of four games. Jaffna Kings kicked off their campaign with a loss against Galle Marvels but since then they have gone on to win three games at a stretch, making sure to remain dominant in the tournament. 

As they head into their next match against Kandy Falcons, Kings would aim to add another win to their series of victories. On the other hand, this is a must-win battle for Kandy Falcons to make their comeback into the tournament. Kandy Falcons are brimmed with stars, yet they have failed to make their impact.
