Harry Brook to lead England in Australia ODIs

Young Harry Brook is set to lead England in their upcoming five-match ODI series against Australia. This development comes in the wake of regular skipper Jos Buttler’s unfortunate injury, which has ruled him out for the rest of the summer.
Jos Buttler has been sidelined due to a calf injury sustained in July. His absence also marks a significant moment for the team, as England will continue to be without their experienced captain.
Harry Brook has emerged as a promising young talent for England cricket in recent times. Buttler’s injury has also paved the way for Liam Livingstone to feature in England’s ODI squad after he was initially left out of the ODI side. Recently, Harry Brook was Ollie Pope’s deputy in England’s three-match Test series against Sri Lanka.
England squad for Australia ODIs: Harry Brook (C), Jofra Archer, Jacob Bethell, Brydon Carse, Jordan Cox, Ben Duckett, Will Jacks, Liam Livingstone, Matthew Potts, Adil Rashid, Phil Salt, Jamie Smith, Olly Stone, Reece Topley, John Turner
