West Indies head coach Daren Sammy unhappy with Joseph’s behaviour

West Indies head coach Daren Sammy has expressed displeasure over fast bowler Alzarri Joseph's action after he twice left the pitch during the third ODI match against England on Wednesday at Kensington Oval in Barbados. Sammy’s reaction to the situation highlighted the level of frustration within the West Indies group. Joseph left the pitch following a disagreement with skipper Shai Hope as there was a difference of opinion over field placement. Unhappy Sammy labelled Alzarri’s behaviour as “unacceptable”.
“Behavior like that is unacceptable on my cricket field. We will be friends…but in the culture I'm trying to build, that's unacceptable. We will definitely have a chat about that,” Sammy said to TalkSPORT.
During the fourth over of the innings, Jospeh can be seen being at loggerheads with captain Shai Hope. Soon, he dismissed Jordan Cox but didn’t celebrate with the team and headed back. As the fourth over ended, Joseph left the field unannounced, leaving West Indies with only ten players as fifth over got underway.
Joseph returned to the field at the start of the sixth over but didn’t bowl until the 12th over. He bowled two overs but left again after two misfields allowed England two runs off overthrows. During the match, Joseph claimed the figures of 45/2 in 10 overs that he bowled.
