Corbin Bosch replaces injured Anrich Nortje in SA’s Champions Trophy squad

South Africa have announced a replacement for fast bowler Anrich Nortje, who has been forced to withdraw from the upcoming Champions Trophy due to a recurring back injury. Bowling all-rounder Corbin Bosch has been named as the replacement for Anrich Nortje in South Africa’s 15-member squad for the Champions Trophy, which is set to start from February 19 in Pakistan and UAE.
Corbin Bosch is a talented fast bowler, carrying a strong record after his mesmerising performance for SA20 2025 champions MI Cape Town. South Africa have also added young prodigy Kwena Maphaka to South Africa’s squad for Champions Trophy as a travelling reserve.
Bosch made his ODI debut in December against Pakistan. South Africa, meanwhile, are without their another fast bowler Gerald Coetzee, who has also been ruled out of the tournament due to a groin issue.
