The much-anticipated first ODI of the three-match series between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh is set to be played on Wednesday at R. Premadasa Stadium. Recently, both sides were seen in a competitive two-match Test series where Sri Lanka clinched the series 1-0 after winning the second Test. 

The first Test had resulted in a draw. This clash marks a pivotal moment for both sides as they aim to assert dominance once again. Sri Lanka, who come into this series buoyed by confidence, will be captained by Charith Asalanka. 

While Bangladesh will be led by Mehidy Hasan Miraz. Both teams are packed with powerful stars, hoping to make early inroads into the series. Bangladesh will rely on players like Tanzid Hasan, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Litton Das (wk), Najmul Hossain Shanto, and Towhid Hridoy.
