ZIM T20I trio-series: South Africa battle full-strength New Zealand

South Africa and New Zealand are set to lock horns in the second match of the Zimbabwe T20I Tri‑Series, scheduled for Wednesday, July 16 at Harare Sports Club. South Africa come into this fixture off the back of a confident five-wicket win over hosts Zimbabwe in the series opener, while New Zealand will be playing their first game of the series. Despite the win, South Africa will be bracing for a stiff challenge against New Zealand, who come into the series with a full-strength squad. Leading the side is skipper Mitchell Santner. And, the squad also includes returning stars—Finn Allen, Glenn Phillips, Rachin Ravindra, Matt Henry, Adam Milne, Ish Sodhi, and Will O'Rourke.
In the opening game, the Proteas delivered a clinical performance, restricting Zimbabwe to 141/6 (20), propelled by George Linde’s 3/10 in three overs, and chasing down the target in 15.5 overs. Heading into this game now, South Africa, with momentum on their side, will hope to pin down New Zealand, who would look to disrupt that structure with aggressive batting and a balanced bowling attack.
