Grace Harris ruled out of ODI World Cup with calf injury
In a big blow for Australia ahead of the ODI World Cup, hard-hitting batter Grace Harris has been ruled out of the tournament due to a calf strain. In her place, Western Australia all-rounder Heather Graham has been called up to the squad. Graham will join the Australian squad in India following Western Australia’s opening two matches of the Women’s National Cricket League.
Harris sustained the strain during the third and final ODI against the India women on Saturday in Delhi. This was Harris' first ODI appearance for Australia since March 2024, and the latest injury has also crushed her hopes of making the World Cup debut.
