Pakistan's Sidra Amin reprimanded for code of conduct during clash against India

Pakistan batter Sidra Amin has been reprimanded for breaching Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct during Pakistan's match against India at Colombo’s R. Premadasa Stadium in the ongoing ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025.
She was found guilty of breaching Article 2.2 of the ICC Code of Conduct, which relates to "abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during an International Match".
"In addition to this, one demerit point has been added to her disciplinary record, for whom it was the first offence in a 24-month period," the ICC said.
The charges were levelled by the on-field umpires Lauren Agenbag and Nimali Perera, third umpire Kerrin Klaaste and fourth umpire Kim Cotton. She admitted to the offence and accepted the sanction proposed by Shandre Fritz, match referee, avoiding a formal hearing.
Talking about the match, Pakistan lost the game by 88 runs, failing to chase India's imperious total of 247. Despite Sidra Amim's gutsy 81-run knock, Pakistan were bowled out for 159 in 43 overs.
