New Zealand and West Indies are gearing up to face each other in the fifth and final T20I, slated to be held on Thursday at University Oval. West Indies stole the show in the opener, beating New Zealand by 7 runs to take a 1-0 lead.

However, New Zealand responded strongly, winning the second and third matches to go 2-1 up in the series. Meanwhile, the fourth match was abandoned after 6.3 overs due to persistent rainfall.

New Zealand will hope to thrive in the home conditions in order to seal the series. In the previous games, they have built confidence in tight games, showing their grit against explosive West Indies. Despite that, West Indies will be looking to challenge New Zealand to draw the series 2-2.
