South Africa have named their full-strength squads for the upcoming white-ball series against India, with fast bowler Anrich Nortje being included in South Africa’s T20I squad. This marks his return to the T20I side for the first time since last playing at the 2024 T20 World Cup final. Nortje had been on the sidelines due to a recurrence of a stress fracture. Nortje recently returned to competitive action for the Dolphins in the domestic T20 Challenge.

Interestingly, he was not selected for the ODI squad, which precedes the T20I series. Aiden Markram will lead the T20I side. Temba Bavuma returns to captain the Proteas in the ODI series after having missed the Pakistan series due to injury. Quinton de Kock is back in both squads, continuing his international return after coming out of retirement.

South Africa ODI squad: Temba Bavuma (c), Ottneil Baartman, Corbin Bosch, Matthew Breetzke, Dewald Brevis, Nandre Burger, Quinton de Kock, Tony de Zorzi, Rubin Hermann, Keshav Maharaja, Marco Jansen, Aiden Markram, Ryan Rickelton, Prenelan Subrayen
