England great Ian Botham lashes out at England, slams Bazball approach

Following England's dismal collapse against Australia in the first Ashes Test in Perth, England legend Ian Botham didn't mince words and slammed England's Bazball style, warning that if England don't change their approach, they "might as well go home now." Australia beat England in the first Test by eight wickets, with Travis Head blasting a sensational knock of 123 off 83 balls. England,
"It was horrendous, there's no other word for it. England need to fire up and fire up quickly. I'm fed up of hearing, 'This is the way we play'. If I hear it once more, I think I'll throw something at the television," Botham told PA News Agency.
The England great pointed out that the way England played made a 5-0 whitewash all too possible. He urged England to come up with a new strategy.
"If that's the way you play, you might as well go home now because it's going to be 5-0."
"They probably won't like me saying that but they need to get their heads around it. I want more pride when I see people pulling that sweater on."
Australia are currently 1-0 up in the five-match series, and the second Test will begin on December 4 at the Gabba.
