England great Ian Botham lashes out at England, slams Bazball approach
Following England's dismal collapse against Australia in the first Ashes Test in Perth, England legend Ian Botham didn't mince words and slammed England's Bazball style, warning that if England don't change their approach, they "might as well go home now." The England great pointed out that the way England played made a 5-0 whitewash all too possible. He urged England to come up with a new strategy.
"If that's the way you play, you might as well go home now because it's going to be 5-0."
"They probably won't like me saying that but they need to get their heads around it. I want more pride when I see people pulling that sweater on."
Australia are currently 1-0 up in the five-match series, and the second Test will begin on December 4 at the Gabba.
