Ahead of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026, Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s Ellyse Perry and Delhi Capitals’ Annabel Sutherland have withdrawn from the tournament due to personal reasons. Following the development, Delhi Capitals have named Australia legspinner Alana King as Sutherland’s replacement, and RCB have signed Indian pace-bowling allrounder Sayali Satghare in place of Perry. Satghare has been roped in by Bengaluru at her base price of INR 30 lakh, while Alana King has been roped in by DC at INR 60 lakh.

Perry’s absence will be a big blow for RCB, given her deep association with the franchise. The Australian great has been part of RCB for all three WPL seasons so far and was retained for INR 2 crore ahead of the 2026 campaign. Annabel Sutherland, who has been part of Delhi Capitals' setup over the past two seasons, was retained for INR 2.2 crore ahead of WPL 2026.

Amidst all this, UP Warriorz will also be without Tara Norris, who has been called up by the USA for the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifiers. Warriorz have roped in uncapped Australian all-rounder Charli Knott as Norris' replacement at a price of INR 10 lakh.
