AFG vs WI, 2nd T20I: West Indies eye survival as they take on Afghanistan in high-stakes clash

Afghanistan and West Indies are gearing up to face each other in the second T20I scheduled to be played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday. Afghanistan are leading the three-match series 1–0 after a dominant 38-run win in the opener. Meanwhile, West Indies are in a desperate fight to keep the series alive.
The Afghans showed their courage with an authoritative performance in the first game, underlining their growing status in the shortest format. Ibrahim Zadran and Darwish Rasooli were the architects behind Afghanistan's victory in the first game, taking charge with remarkable composure, crafting a record-breaking 162-run partnership to power the side to a 181-run total. Later their spin trio of Rashid Khan, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, and Noor Ahmad put relentless pressure on West Indies batters to limit them to 143/9 in 20 overs.
West Indies, going into the second game, face an uphill battle to make their comeback. They are already missing the services of key players like Shai Hope and Akeal Hosein, who are both tied up with SA20 commitments. Nonetheless, they will hope for stronger performance with both bat and ball to survive in the series.
