Daryl Mitchell rises to top as Kohli slips to second spot in ICC ODI rankings

New Zealand’s talented batter Daryl Mitchell has once again risen to the top of the ICC Men’s ODI Batting Rankings, overtaking Indian legend Virat Kohli in the latest ICC ODI rankings. The change at the top comes just a week after Kohli had reclaimed the number one position for the first time since 2021. Mitchell has retained the top position following an extraordinary performance in a historic ODI series win in India.
He slammed back-to-back centuries to guide New Zealand to their maiden ODI series victory on Indian soil. Overall he scored 352 runs across the three-match contest. Mitchell now leads the chart with 845 rating points, well ahead of Kohli, who has slipped to second with 795 points.
Talking about Kohli, he was India’s standout batter in the series against New Zealand, finishing as the second-highest run-scorer with 240 runs. Indian veteran Rohit Sharma has slipped to fourth place after a dismal performance in the series against New Zealand.
