In a landmark moment, Canada batter Yuvraj Samra created history with a stunning century against New Zealand in their Men's T20 World Cup clash in Chennai on Tuesday. Samra delivered a memorable knock, smashing 110 runs off 65 deliveries. During his knock, he cracked 11 fours and six sixes. His fearless knock against established New Zealand marked a defining chapter not only in his career but also in Canada's cricketing journey.

With this remarkable knock, Samra became the youngest cricketer to score a century in a men’s World Cup match across both T20 and ODI formats. His century also placed him as the third-youngest batter ever to score a hundred in men’s T20Is. Notably, he is the first among those youngest centurions to achieve the feat against a full-member nation.

It was also Samra’s maiden international century. Most importantly, it was the first-ever century scored by a batter representing an associate nation in the history of the T20 World Cup.
