The 2026 edition of the Indian Premier League continues to see superstar Vaibhav Sooryavanshi dominate the tournament with his highly skilful batting for the Rajasthan Royals. The young prodigy has taken the tournament by storm and currently leads the run-scoring charts, holding the Orange Cap. 

So far, in only four innings, he has amassed 200 runs at a staggering strike rate of 266.66, making him the most dangerous batter in the competition. His latest performance against Royal Challengers Bengaluru was another astounding show with the bat. Chasing a target of 202, Sooryavanshi smashed a breathtaking 78 off 26 balls, including eight boundaries and seven sixes. 

His powerful show against RCB has propelled him to the top of the Orange Cap standings. Sooryavanshi holds the cap after overtaking teammate Yashasvi Jaiswal. Meanwhile, after their victory over RCB on Friday, Rajasthan Royals continued their unbeaten streak in the tournament, strengthening their position at the top of the points table. On the other hand, Royal Challengers Bengaluru suffered their first defeat of the campaign despite putting up a strong batting performance. RCB, after being put in to bat, posted a total of 201/8 in 20 overs, with captain Rajat Patidar leading the charge with an impressive 63. Romario Shepherd, Virat Kohli and Venkatesh Iyer also contributed 22, 32 and 29*, respectively.
