IPL 2026: LSG head into RCB's stronghold for blockbuster clash

Royal Challengers Bengaluru are gearing up for a crucial run of three consecutive matches at their fortress. Their first outing in this home stretch comes against Lucknow Super Giants in match 23 on Wednesday. RCB have massive momentum on their side as they look to capitalise on familiar conditions, while LSG will look to recover from a recent setback.
This time, RCB’s home form has been strong as compared to the previous edition. After managing just two wins in five home fixtures last year, they have begun this campaign strongly in Bengaluru, winning both matches played at the venue so far. Their batting unit has been the driving force behind this resurgence. The side has consistently performed brilliantly in the batting department. It’s clear that their batting lineup is in formidable touch and brimming with confidence.
However, their bowling unit has had to go through challenges. At times, their bowlers have been expensive, but the strong totals set by the batting order have often provided enough cushion. Jacob Duffy has been a standout performer with six wickets in three outings. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has contributed with disciplined spells, helping maintain control during crucial phases. In the middle overs, Suyash Sharma and Krunal Pandya have chipped in effectively.
On the other hand, LSG’s campaign has lacked consistency. They began with a loss and recovered impressively with back-to-back wins, but they stumbled in their most recent outing. Still, they will take confidence from their unbeaten record in Bengaluru, having won both of their previous matches at this venue. Despite that, they will need their batters to live up to the expectations to help the team stack up runs.
