IPL 2026: DC host RCB in all-or-nothing showdown

In a high-octane showdown, Delhi Capitals are preparing to host Royal Challengers Bengaluru in match 39 of the ongoing Indian Premier League on Monday at Arun Jaitley Stadium. Both teams have reached the midway point of their campaign, but their campaign has been quite different. Delhi head into this match after a crushing defeat to Punjab Kings. In that game, DC piled up a massive total of 264 that should have all but sealed the match. However, Punjab chased it down with ease.

On the other side, RCB have been pretty consistent in their performance. They have suffered two losses in seven outings, sitting comfortably on the second spot in the points table. What has stood out is their temperament. Each setback has been followed by a strong response, making them a strong contender.

For Delhi, this will be their fourth outing at the venue this season, but they have been unable to assert dominance at the home ground. Two defeats in three games at their own ground have left them struggling to stamp their authority on home soil. Now for the Capitals to turn their season around, they will need their bowling unit to perform in unison. Batting wise, they have made good use of the conditions regardless of the venue. Bengaluru, meanwhile, will aim to continue their dominance and hope for the best result.
