Sanju Samson played a starring role with the bat, helping India overcome Afghanistan by seven wickets in the second T20I on Tuesday at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The victory hands India an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
Chasing a target of 160, India went over the line in 14.5 overs, with the top order giving the side a robust start. Sanju Samson made a great comeback, launching a breathtaking knock of 57 off 22 deliveries. Abhishek Sharma fired from the other end, smashing 39 from 19 balls. After their dismissals, Ishan Kishan took charge of the chase with a fiery 38*, while Tilak Varma contributed 15* as India easily clinched victory.
