IND vs WI, ODIs: West Indies suffer big blow, Justin Greaves ruled out of 2nd ODI
West Indies have suffered a tremendous blow ahead of the second ODI against India, with opener Justin Greaves ruled out of the Guwahati match due to a calf injury. Moreover, he remains in doubt for the third and final ODI in New Chandigarh on October 3. Greaves picked up the injury during the opening ODI of the three-game series in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday.
He was in fiery form, battling through the discomfort to bring up his maiden ODI century, scoring 101 off 108. His innings was brought to an end by left-arm wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav. But Greaves played a key role in taking West Indies to a fighting total of 295.
Despite that, India claimed a massive win, riding on centuries from Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill. Notably, the second ODI will be played in Guwahati on Wednesday.
