Resuming their first innings with their overnight score of 256 for 5, South Africa on day three are going strong in the ongoing first Test match against India at the Centurion. Veteran batter Dean Elgar was standing tall to channel South Africa’s innings forward positively, but Indian all-rounder Shardul Thakur struck to send back Elgar who was playing on (185). Marco Jansen is also playing an equally important role after scoring his half-century. Indian bowlers are toiling hard to get more breakthrough but their efforts seem to paying off gradually as of now. At the stroke of lunch, India got another scalp with R Ashwin removing Geraldn Coetzee. At lunch, South Africa were 392/7 with Marco Jansen unbeaten on (72). Earlier, India had been dismissed for (245) in their first innings where they had been propelled by KL Rahul with his 101-run knock.
