Harsh Dubey joins SRH as replacement for R Smaran

Sunrisers Hyderabad have brought in Harsh Dubey as the replacement for R Smaran, who has been ruled out of the ongoing Indian Premier League due to injury. R Smaran had earlier replaced Adam Zampa in SRH’s squad, but an injury has ruled him out for the remainder of the tournament.
Meanwhile, Harsh Dubey, who plays for Vidarbha in the Ranji Trophy, most recently shattered the record for most wickets in the 2024-25 Ranji Trophy season. He was instrumental in Vidarbha’s title win, picking up 69 wickets.
Overall, he has played 54 games across formats, claiming 127 wickets and hammering 947 runs. He joins SRH for INR 30 lakh. SRH, who have three wins from ten games, are almost out of the playoffs race, and their next outing is on Monday against Delhi Capitals in Hyderabad.
