India's white-ball tour of Bangladesh remains in uncertainty

India’s white-ball tour of Bangladesh, involving three ODIs and as many T20Is, is reportedly set to be called off due to political hostility between both nations. India were scheduled to kick off their tour of Bangladesh with three ODIs on August 17, 20 and 23, respectively. While T20I matches were to be played on August 26, 29 and 31, respectively.
According to reports, the worsening political instability between neighbouring nations is the main reason behind the suspension of the series. As per Cricbuzz, the major sign of BCB cancelling or postponing the series emerged when it paused the tour’s media rights sales. The bidding was scheduled to be held on July 7, with the financial bidding scheduled for July 10 (Thursday).
"We will continue, we will take time to research the market. There is no point in rushing things. We can give different contracts,” a BCB official was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.
The report further stated that an official announcement could be expected within a week.
“The date for the India series hasn't been fixed yet. They (the BCCI) said it's difficult for them to come in August. This is part of FTP,” the official added.
