New Zealand have picked a strong squad for the upcoming T20I series against Australia, with incredibly experienced Kyle Jamieson and Ben Sears making their comeback to the squad. They both were on the sidelines from the tri-series in Zimbabwe, which also included South Africa, in July. Jamieson missed the series due to the birth of his first child, while Sears was out with a side injury.

Meanwhile, Mitchell Santner has been ruled out of the series. Santner, who underwent abdominal surgery last month, has failed to recover in time. Lockie Ferguson and Adam Milne will also miss the series following injuries. In place of Santner, Michael Bracewell will be leading the side. All three T20Is will be played at Bay Oval on October 1, 3 and 4, respectively.

New Zealand squad for Australia T20Is: Michael Bracewell (capt), Mark Chapman, Devon Conway, Jacob Duffy, Zak Foulkes, Matt Henry, Bevon Jacobs, Kyle Jamieson, Daryl Mitchell, Rachin Ravindra, Tim Robinson, Ben Sears, Tim Seifert, Ish Sodhi
