Tim David faces race against time ahead of T20 World Cup following Hamstring Injury

Star batter Tim David is facing an anxious wait to prove his fitness ahead of the upcoming T20 World Cup, following a hamstring injury sustained during a BBL match. The young power-hitter picked up the injury while attempting a quick single during Hobart’s four-wicket victory over the Perth Scorchers at Optus Stadium on Friday night.
David was visibly frustrated as he clutched his leg and struggled to move freely between the wickets. After brief attention from the medical staff, David was advised to retire hurt, leaving the field on 42 from 28 deliveries.
"I just felt a little bit of something when I was trying to come back for two. It's not ideal, but I didn't want to make it worse and had full faith in the boys to get us home. We'll wait and see," David told Channel 7.
David’s innings had been a crucial one for Hobart, providing stability in the middle order at a time when the Hurricanes were looking to close out the chase. Meanwhile, Mac Wright (22* off 13 balls) and Chris Jordan (15 off 11 balls) played crucial knocks to power Hurricanes to victory.
