South Africa have unveiled a blockbuster 2026-27 international home season, featuring the high-stakes Test series against Australia and England and a full multi-format tour by Bangladesh. The Test series will mark Australia's return to South Africa for their first Test tour since 2018. The three-match Test series against Australia begins in Durban from October 9 to 13, moves to Gqeberha from October 18 to 22, and concludes at Newlands in Cape Town from October 27 to 31.

Before the red-ball battle begins, Australia will play a three-match ODI series from September 24 to 30. The three ODIs will be held in Durban, Johannesburg and Potchefstroom. Following Australia’s departure, Bangladesh will visit Australia for an all-format tour in November and December.

The two-match Test series begins at the Wanderers (November 15-19) before shifting to Centurion (November 23-27). For South Africa, these matches will be crucial to consolidate WTC standing. The white-ball leg features three ODIs in East London, Gqeberha and Cape Town from December 1 to 7. The tour then moves into three T20Is in Kimberley, Benoni and Centurion between December 10 and 13.

Later England will arrive in South Africa for a three-match Test series beginning on December 17 at the Wanderers. The traditional Boxing Day Test returns to Centurion, and the New Year’s Test will be played at Newlands in Cape Town. South Africa's home season will conclude with a three-match ODI series against England. Paarl will host the opener on January 10, before Bloemfontein hosts the final two matches on January 12 and 15.

“We are really looking forward to welcoming three strong cricketing nations in Australia, Bangladesh and England. These tours will undoubtedly draw fans from across the country to our stadiums. We anticipate a vibrant and competitive summer that celebrates the very best of international cricket in South Africa," CSA Chief Executive Officer Pholetsi Moseki said.

“Next season carries significant importance for both our Test and ODI teams. We have made a promising start to the new World Test Championship cycle, including a hard-fought 1-1 series draw against Pakistan and an impressive 2-0 victory over India, and it is important that we continue to build on that momentum and strengthen our position on the WTC table."

“On the white-ball front, our focus remains firmly on building towards hosting the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in 2027. Every ODI series from here forms part of our preparation for that global event, not only as proud hosts, but as a team determined to compete strongly on home soil.”
