Schedule revealed for Afghanistan's tour of India

India are set to host Afghanistan in a one-off Test match set to begin on March 6, marking their first meeting in the longest format since 2018. The match will be played at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh, which will be a maiden Test at the venue. The tour also features three ODIs, scheduled to be played in Dharamshala, Lucknow, and Chennai on June 14, 17, and 20, respectively. 

“Afghanistan will play one Test match followed by a three-match One-Day International (ODI) series. The Test match will be played in New Chandigarh from June 6 to June 10, 2026. The ODI series will commence on June 14, 2026, in Dharamshala, with the subsequent matches scheduled in Lucknow and Chennai. All ODI matches will begin at 1:30 PM IST,” BCCI stated in a statement.

Notably, both sides last played a bilateral series in India in 2024. That time they faced each other in a three-match T20I series, with India clinching the series 2-0 after the third and final match was tied.

1st ODI – 14 June, 2026  (Dharamshala)

2nd ODI – 17 June, 2026  (Lucknow)

3rd ODI – 20 June, 2026 (Chennai)
