AFG vs IND, 3rd T20I: India eye clean sweep as Afghanistan fight for pride

India and Afghanistan are set to meet in the third and final T20I, scheduled to be played on Thursday at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. India, having already taken an unassailable 2-0 lead, will look to complete a series sweep. Excelling in both batting and bowling departments, India turned the first two matches into one-sided affairs, claiming comfortable victories. Their batting has been highly incredible following their top-order batters' aggressive approach that has played a key role in giving the side robust starts.

Abhishek Sharma has led the assault at the top, with the left-handed opener churning out some spectacular hitting during the first match, in which he smashed a fiery 82-run knock. Sanju Samson has also boosted India’s batting after slamming a powerful half-century in the second game. In the middle order, Ishan Kishan, Tilak Varma and Shreyas Iyer have controlled the innings. In the bowling department, Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh have been effective in the pace department, while Axar Patel and Ravi Bishnoi have managed things brilliantly in the spin department.

Meanwhile, for Afghanistan, the biggest concern has been the lack of runs from their opening batters. Rahmanullah Gurbaz has endured a disappointing series so far, getting out for ducks in the first two games. Ibrahim Zadran and Sediqullah Atal have shown positive intent, but they have been unable to play big knocks. However, Azmatullah Omarzai, Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan have propped up the innings at crucial moments, but that too has not been enough to challenge India. Now, going into the final clash, Afghanistan would need their players to come out strongly and help the side end their visit on a high note.
