Australian fast bowler Megan Schutt achieved a major milestone on Friday, becoming the third Australian woman to take 150 wickets in One Day International (ODI) cricket. She reached the landmark during the first ODI against Bangladesh women at Allan Border Field. Schutt needed just two wickets to reach the milestone and achieved it by dismissing Sharmin Sultana and Fargana Hoque during the match. With this achievement, she joined an elite group of Australian bowlers featuring legendary all-rounder Ellyse Perry and former fast bowler Cathryn Fitzpatrick.

Schutt is the 12th player overall to claim 150 wickets in women's ODI cricket, further cementing her reputation as one of Australia's most reliable fast bowlers. Among Australian women, Fitzpatrick leads the wicket-taking charts with 180 ODI wickets, followed by Perry with 166.

Schutt's achievement places her third on the list, highlighting her consistency and significant contribution to Australian women's cricket. At the top of the overall list is former India fast bowler Jhulan Goswami, who holds the record with 255 wickets in women's ODIs. Schutt's latest milestone adds another remarkable achievement to her international career and underlines her importance to Australia's bowling attack.
